ARTIST STATEMENT

Since high school, Kim has worked with her medium of choice: acrylics. Within the last few years, she has begun painting miniature horses and has an extensive background in regional landscapes, seascapes and animal portraits. Her work exerts the true character, spirit and personality of her subjects, capturing the individual qualities that define them beyond the visual plane.

“I have been an acrylic artist for over 35 years. My favorite subjects are usually animals. They always make life so much more enjoyable!  It had always been my dream to live on a farm. Now we do IN Rochester Washington, with miniature horses, chickens, pigs, cattle and gardens. Lots of creatures to use in future paintings!”
