KONGYEGA ART STUDIO’s Inspiration Point:

Our family of artists is fortunate to find our inspiration in our own back yard. We live and work on a small piece of land just South of the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. A lovely spring-fed creek flows not 10 feet from the forge and studio where we create. Just beyond the creek is a pond frequented by the subject of our inspiration for this event. We call her Katherine. She is a beautiful Blue Heron. Katherine is tall and elegant. She slowly steps through the water in search of fish, tadpoles or salamanders. When she is full she will preen and occasionally nap on the bank. Katherine’s movements are a study in grace. She is mesmerizing. We hope our attempt to capture Katherine’s beauty is an inspiration to all who see her to go outside and enjoy nature in your own back yard.
